I grew up with flat hair.
At school, that mattered more than it should have.
The search
School is tough at the best of times.
My hair became one of the few things I felt I could control.
Looking back, it was never really about hair.
It was about confidence.
I tried everything that promised it.
Gels. Waxes. Clays.
Nothing lasted. Nothing felt made for me.
Moving on
As I left school and began pursuing my passion for science, I stumbled across social media.
Through video, I found a way to say the things I’d never quite been able to put into words.
Without really realising it, I started working on a solution to a problem I’d been battling with every day.
Flat hair.
The spark
In a small log cabin in Scotland, my best friend and I finally sat down and shaped what would become the beginnings of Montx.
Like all good ideas, it didn’t arrive fully formed.
It took hours of conversation, frustration, and belief.
Years of testing and setbacks
What followed was a long road of trial and error.
Different manufacturers. Endless refinement.
A refusal to settle for "good enough".
Until we finally crafted something we truly believe in.

In future, we’d love to meet everyone in person. For now, as we can’t quite take over a whole festival, invites are limited and run on a lottery system.
Currently, events are held in the UK. They’re 18+ at the moment — we’re working on opening things up.
love this product! Finally found something that i look forward to use everyday. Super easy to use and is not heavy or greesy. holds up very well through out the day and doesn't damage my hair. washes out super easily with just water and has a nice scent to it. couldn't recommend it enough. depending on the length of your hair you might need a few days to find the exact amount needed for your hair. absolute good buy!

I cant even just call this a product, this is a magical serum. I always thought that if something was too good to be true then it probably was, but this just is that good. washes out with only water your hair will thank you
My 12 year old son is recently into his hair and this is one of his favorite products so far. A little pricey compared to others, but it actually works.
truly the best hair product. I have tried dozens of powders, gels, creams, etc. and this is far and above anything else i've ever tried. It works all day long and really is restylable. Washes out easily and wont ruin your natural hair texture.
wonderful product. I don't have AC in my car so I constantly have to restyle with more product every time I go somewhere, and as a result I have to shampoo every night. monte actually stays in my hair so I can easily restyle without having to carry my hair routine everywhere I go. my hair is so much happier now that I've been using montx for a couple weeks and it works! Montx has the same effect as sea salt spray without being crunchy and has the same hold as powder without my hair looking matted and GRAYISH. 100 percent recommend this product it is amazing and also smells great.

It just works! Its not sticky, or greasy, or damaging at all. Use as directed, and you’re done in 30 seconds. And the kicker? It smells fantastic!

First off, this isn’t a holding product, it is a texturing product. Don’t Expect it to hold up hair that is longer than 3 inches. But it is insanely good, textures amazing and the best part. Rinses off my hands easily, 10/10 product

As a product I like. It makes my hair puffy and nice but for me there is one issue the smell I am sensitive to smell and it smells like chemicals to me I would Love this product if it had a scentless version if it did it would be a 5/5
